Thanksgiving Football!
This was one of those events I wish I had my camera. I learned why I stayed away from sports that dealt with a ball in high school. I also learned that 100 lbs can’t cover 200 lbs. We started Thanksgiving morning with a game of two hand touch on the church field. It was a blast until Ryan (my brother in law) decided to kick the ball on the other side of the fence. I proceeded to hop over and on the way back get my pants caught on the wire putting a huge tear all the way through to my boxers. Oh well, I guess if you don’t leave with a little cuts and scrapes, bruises, sprained fingers, extremely sore muscles the next day, and holes in your pants then you weren’t playing hard enough. Actually it was more like throwing a kitty in a den of pit bulls and watching them to play together. Next time maybe I should just let the boys play. Ah who am I kidding, I love football!

Our Trip to Ireland?
We set out for Ireland- Paul, myself, Lindy and Russ. It was going to be a blast! Our first stop was New York and the whole day was planned from the beginning. First, we had to figure out the subway routes. One particular tunnel had a smell that will forever haunt us. Russ, Lindy and I started to run quickly while Paul just laughed hysterically from behind. Poor, pregnant Lindy got to the top and threw up in a nearby trash can. While we waited in the longest line ever to the statue of liberty, Russ decided to eat Lindy's popsicle. This plan however backfired and he could not unglue his mouth from it. Later, we saw the 9/11 grounds, time square, Rockefeller center, a cathedral, ate real New York pizza and hot dogs from a street stand. We returned to the airport for our flight to Ireland, but we all could not get on the plane. Plans switched quickly and Greece became the deciding vote. Wow, little did I know this was going to be quite the adventure. I'd first like to recommend to NEVER EVER drive in Greece. They're crazy and in order to survive, we became crazy too. Paul drove and Russ navigated. This was a horrible combination at first, but they were professionals in the end. People drive down sidewalks and one way streets going in the opposite direction. We started early that morning looking for the hotel, of course we got lost and found ourselves at the great coliseums. I think we finally found the hotel later that evening. Both Russ and Paul were so frustrated that Russ tossed the map out the window. He began to look at the road signs and prophetically stated, "these signs are so foreign to me." Well Russ, we are in Greece. The hotel room was awful because the sewage smell filled the bathroom. Everyone knows me and how OCD I am when it comes to being clean. I left the shower curtain wide open so it would not touch me. In the meantime this flooded the bathroom. Russ, of course being the unlucky one, showered next. Lindy and I heard a huge crash, opened the door and saw him wrapped in a shower toga wedged in the corners of the tiny shower. Lindy and I could not stop laughing for about ten minutes; he was ok by the way. All in all, we were overjoyed to leave the armpit of the world and come back to the land of the free and sanitized.
